The school district has announced that the high school graduations have been postponed until tomorrow, June 23. They will take place at the same time and place, details of which are below.

As of noon, the school district had not made a decision about postponing the graduations. A decision will be made later this afternoon, a school official said. Stratford Patch will provide updates as they become available.

Tonight, Stratford's high school seniors will become high school graduates.

The ceremonies for both and are scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. -- Bunnell's on the football field and Stratford High's at Pender's Field.

A rain date has been set for tomorrow, June 23, and there's a faily good chance that may have to be used. According to the National Weather Service, there's a 60 percent chance of precipitation today. And, showers and thunderstorms are likely after 3 p.m. Some storms could produce heavy rain, the weather service reports.

Tomorrow's not looking much better, either. The weather service forecast is again calling for a 60 percent chance of precipitation, with more thunderstorms likely.
