Stratford Parents' Place Offers Registration for Early Childhood Institute on Positive Discipline

As part of its ongoing commitment to improve the quality of early care and education in Stratford, Stratford Parents' Place through their Early Childhood Institute is sponsoring a two-part workshop series called Positive Discipline: Using Intentional Strategies to Prevent Challenging Behaviors.

These trainings will be held on Monday, April 16 and Monday, April 30 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Johnson House/Stratford Academy Library Media Center at 719 Birdseye Street, Stratford.

In this series, Jennifer Wood, Assistant Professor at Norwalk Community College, will discuss how early childhood teachers can prevent challenging behaviors through developing positive relationships with children, families, and co-workers, creating a preventive classroom environment, and using strategies for teaching social and emotional skills.
