Stratford Senior Services will host a special Safety Awareness presentation on Tuesday, September 11 at 9:00 a.m. at the Raymond E. Baldwin Center, 1000 W. Broad St., Stratford.

Michael Savenelli of BCI Financial will present a workshop on Identity Fraud and Scams. He will cover 10 major points that can help anyone avoid becoming a victim of financial fraud.  Mike will also discuss what to do and steps you should take if you have been a victim of fraud.  He has been in the credit industry for 43 years and has served on a number of Credit Fraud organizations, working with law enforcement professionals.

In addition, Stratford resident, Jean Leonetti, will share her personal story in dealing with the issue, and what “red flags” older adults should be particularly aware of.

The workshop will also offer important tips on maintaining personal safety and how to best handle a physical or threatening confrontation.

The event is open to the public.  Pre-registration is requested, please call 203-385-4050.  A light continental breakfast will be served.
