BLUMENTHAL: The senator posted a picture of himself on Twitter after he paid a visit to Graywall Farms in Lebanon to discuss the farm bill on Friday. Robin Chesmer, who operates Graywall with his son Lincoln, Connecticut Agriculture Commissioner Steven Reviczky and other local farmers were also pictured.
HIMES: The congressman gave his Twitter followers a peek into his Stamford office, which he recently freshened up with artwork:
DELAURO: The congresswoman led a panel discussion in New Haven late last week on the importance of anti-hunger programs for Connecticut residents. The panel focused on the impact proposed cuts to food stamps and other critical programs would have in Connecticut and across the nation.
“In my congressional district nearly one in seven households last year was not sure if they could afford enough food to feed their families. They face the risk of hunger every day,” she said, according to a statement released by her office. "In times when families are struggling day in and day out, our food security policies are even more vital. That is why I am fighting in Congress against proposals that would devastate our federal anti-hunger and public health programs."
MURPHY: The congressman's list of supporters in his campaign for Senate continues to grow. According to his campaign Web site, he has now been endorsed by 66 Democratic Town Committees, including Ed Morris, chairman of the East Lyme Democratic Town Committee, and a Committeeman for the 20th Senatorial District, since late last week.
