Stratford Dog Park Supporters to Hold 'Open Meeting' at Roosevelt Forest Saturday

Advocates for establishing a dog park in Stratford will meet at 10 a.m. to "bounce ideas off one another." Will you be participating in the discussion?

Carissa Mason, one of the loudest voices for , is inviting the public to an "open meeting" at Saturday, Nov. 5, to discuss the dog park proposal and petition that she plans to bring before the Town Council. 

"The purpose of the meeting will just be to bounce ideas off of one another," Mason wrote on the event's Facebook page. "This is an open meeting for anyone that would like to support the proposal for a dog park in Stratford."

The forum will run from 10 a.m. to noon. As of 11:30 a.m. Friday, 11 Facebook users had responded to the event as "attending," with two "maybe attending."

For those interested in going, the group will meet under the pavilion near the entrance to the north Stratford park. On the Facebook page, Mason encourages residents to bring their dogs with them, so long as they come on leases, per park rules.
