Murphy 'On the Defense About Job Creation'

News and updates on Connecticut's Senate and Third District races.

Senate

Linda McMahon (R): Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch cracked a joke that Bridgeport will deliver votes for a Chris Murphy win, even if they’re a few days late. The reference to Bridgeport’s 2010 election woes didn’t go over well with the McMahon campaign, according to The Associated Press.

Chris Murphy (D): Candidates throughout the country know that this election is all about the economy. That’s part of the reason why Murphy is trying to take over the issues of jobs in light of Linda McMahon’s campaign.

According to the Stamford Advocate, Murphy is “on the defense about job creation,” but the candidate is working to change that.

3rd District

Rosa DeLauro (D) and Wayne Winsley (R) have not yet had their first debate, but there was a candidate’s forum in New Haven on Sunday where they each addressed the crowd at different times. According to Winsley’s Facebook page, he was, “told that I can't enter the Candidate Forum until Rosa DeLauro has left the building."
