McMahon, Murphy Seek Female Voters

The Nov. 6 elections are almost hear, and both Linda McMahon (R) and Chris Murphy (D) are doing what they can to win over female voters.

According to Reuters, McMahon rarely mentions her tenure as CEO for World Wrestling Entertainment. Murphy has described McMahon as anti-abortion, but doesn’t focus on the WWE.

A Quinnipiac survey released this week suggests Murphy might be winning the argument. After weeks of polling neck-and-neck with McMahon, he was ahead 49 percent to 43 percent, and taking a double-digit lead among women. McMahon's campaign pointed to two other polls that called the race a dead heat.

3rd District

Rosa DeLauro (D) is planning to visit the Pennsylvania Globe Gaslight Company in North Branford on Monday. She said on Twitter, “Manufacturing is crucial to CT's econ, middle class.”

Wayne Winsley (R) plans to attend a forum on Oct. 30 at 12:30 p.m. at the West Haven Senior Center.
