Linda McMahon (R)’s campaign filed an ethics complaint with the Office of Congressional Ethics, alleging that Chris Murphy (D) received an overly generous home mortgage from Webster Bank. Both Murphy and the bank deny the accusations.
Politico reports that the impact of the complaint will be limited since the Office of Congressional is prohibited from acting on cases in the 60 days before an election.
Politico wrote, "the practical impact of McMahon's complaint to the OCE is likely to be some bad headlines for Murphy rather than any significant legal problems."

Rosa DeLauro (D) is a critic of U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan's budgetary plan. Before Ryan became the vice presidential nominee, DeLauro addressed Congress earlier this year to say why she thinks the budget proposal doesn't work. The video is on YouTube.
