Mayor Harkins to Run for Re-election in 2013

'We have more work to do,' Stratford's mayor said before announcing his intent to run for re-election at a speaking event Tuesday afternoon.

Stratford Mayor John A. Harkins concluded his State of the Town address at the Oronoque Country Club Tuesday by announcing his campaign for re-election.

"The state of Stratford is strong," Harkins said to an audience comprised mostly of business leaders, politicians and town officials.

He then outlined several accomplishments since he took office in 2009 (Stratford Patch will run a story Wednesday about the contents of the mayor's speech) before declaring his intent to run for re-election.
