Kevin Kelly Running Unopposed in 21st District

The incumbent Republican state Senator runs unchallenged in this year's election.

After defeating former Stratford Mayor James R. Miron in the election for the 21st Senatorial District in 2010, Kevin Kelly is running unopposed in this year's election.

The district Kelly represents includes the towns of Stratford, Monroe, Seymour and Shelton. Kelly is ranking member of the Aging Committee as well as the Insurance & Real Estate Committee, and is a member of the Commerce and Regulations Review Committee.

According to his website: Kelly "was educated at St. Joseph High School in Trumbull, CT (1978). He went on to earn his bachelors degree at Assumption College (B.A. 1982) and his masters degree at Fairfield University (M.A. 1985). Later, Kevin attended Notre Dame Law School, Concannon Programme of International Law in London, England (Summer, 1995), and the University of Connecticut School of Law (J.D. 1997) where he earned the Little Brown & Co. Book Award for Excellence in the study of Trusts & Estates, as well as the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Law & Public Health. He was Vice President of the Connecticut Client Advocacy Board and a member of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal."
