DeLauro, Winsley Set for First and Only Debate

News and updates on Connecticut's Senate and Third District races.

Senate

Linda McMahon (R): The candidate’s opposition to having the government force religious hospitals to issue emergency contraception for rape victims has, according to Talking Points Memo, lead “pro-choice advocates in the Nutmeg State to further question her abortion rights credentials.”

McMahon talked about the issue with the Hartford Courant editorial board last week.

Chris Murphy (D) attended a debate viewing party on Tuesday at the Norwalk Democratic campaign headquarters. The candidate -- coming off a trio of debates with Linda McMahon -- offered this advice to the president, reports Patch.

"[Obama] needs to really articulate the differences between an America under Romney and an America led by Obama," Murphy said.

3rd District

Rosa DeLauro (D) and Wayne Winsley (R) will have their first and only debate on Sunday, Oct. 21. WFSB’s Face the State will be airing the debate at 11 a.m.
