DeLauro, Winsley Set for First and Only Debate

News and updates on Connecticut's Senate and Third District races.

Linda McMahon (R): The candidate’s opposition to having the government force religious hospitals to issue emergency contraception for rape victims has, according to Talking Points Memo, lead “pro-choice advocates in the Nutmeg State to further question her abortion rights credentials.”

McMahon talked about the issue with the Hartford Courant editorial board last week.

Chris Murphy (D) attended a debate viewing party on Tuesday at the Norwalk Democratic campaign headquarters. The candidate -- coming off a trio of debates with Linda McMahon -- offered this advice to the president, reports Patch.

"[Obama] needs to really articulate the differences between an America under Romney and an America led by Obama," Murphy said.

3rd District

Rosa DeLauro (D) and Wayne Winsley (R) will have their first and only debate on Sunday, Oct. 21. WFSB’s Face the State will be airing the debate at 11 a.m.

Rosa DeLauro excels in obfuscation: Notice how she avoids answering my question! [Text of my question and her non-answer is under this 2-part video.] You can expect a similar performance at the recorded WFSB debate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y58wLUHcYno&feature=share&list=PL5wsVsNCEygr9f9HtxTvtdGqNcaS-epwG The main reason she has remained in office so long is because she is a master of obfuscation and media manipulation: she spouts off irrelevant BS and skewed “statistics” to avoid actually answering questions, and only appears in public under very carefully controlled conditions. This is why the WFSB debate is being taped in a studio: she’d NEVER be able to handle a live debate.

Someone recently said they support Rosa DeLauro because she personally affected them. Well! Rosa has affected me personally, too. Every time I hear of partisan gridlock in Congress, I think of Rosa and how her spiteful demagogy directly led to the breakdown of an entire Branch of federal government. Every time I hear of the Arab spring riots and civil war in Libya and Syria, I think of Rosa's nearsighted ethanol policy which starved North Africa and the Middle East. Every time I hear about seniority in Congress, I think of how Rosa paid $1 million for her chairmanship of the House Agricultural appropriations subcommittee. Every time I hear about Wall Street bankers getting big bonuses, I think of Rosa's TARP vote to bail them all out. Every time I hear of corruption and money laundering, I think of Rosa's insider trading that earned her $4 million while the rest of us lost 40% of our asset values. Every time I hear of food stamp usage increasing, I think of Rosa's fabulous banquets at her DC townhouse, paid for with campaign cash, to wine and dine members of the DNC steering committee and lobbyists from the biggest corporations. Every time I see my insurance premiums rise, I think of how Rosa helped impose HIPAA on us, which began the annual double-digit rate increases for health insurance. Rosa's stripped wealth from me and my family, while she enriched herself at the same time. So yes, one could say Rosa has done a lot to affect me personally, too.

Why one and only debate? what's the matter Rosa, are you frightened of having to answer real questions? are you worried you may be asked a question you can't answer because you have lost touch with the public since you became a career politician?

Rosa's lost her edge big-time. She always carries a thick binder with her wherever she goes, and peruses a fixed list of buzz-word answers to whatever question is asked. It is arranged topically with tabs so she can search under, say, "Obamacare" and then "death panels" to find a snappy remark. Her staff compiles this binder on a weekly basis through the DNC talking points cables that are issued every morning. This canned-verse situation has grown so intolerable that Rosa apparently had this binder with her when she taped a closed-session debate with Winsley yesterday. (The ONLY case where she agreed to appear in the same place with her African-American challenger!) She even stopped and flipped through the sacred binder for a proper answer when Winsley stumped her with a remark on Obamacare. She didn't have to do that in her last debate in 2008, so it shows how degenerative her mental capacity has become in four years. I cannot wait to see Rosa make a completely moronic fool of herself on television when its aired on "Face the State" this Sunday!

Rosa DeLauro EXPOSED! http://RosaDeLauroExposed.wordpress.com/ Rosa DeLauro: At the televised “debate” on WFSB: Her answers all were virtually identical to those she gave last Sunday at a church-sponsored forum on poverty—even though all the questions were completely different! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vT406srfQYc&feature=share&list=PL5wsVsNCEygo6rCWCN2jlOCRO1R0jUpa0 Notice that she has a binder to look up answers while Winsley is talking. After 22 years you'd think she wouldn't need it to be an open-book exam. Delauro: creating jobs means getting constructions unions to get my support for govt-paid "infrastructure" TEMPORARY jobs. Winsely: "You can't love jobs but hate job creators [i.e. business]". Re. New Haven violence, DeLauro: childproof locks on guns. Winsley: give kids role models and a future. Re. illegal immigration, Winsley: "America has always been a welcoming nation...We're a nation of immigrants...It should be as difficult to enter the US as it is to enter a Holiday Inn: we all have to check in." Debate format was too short to address ObamaCare adequately, but you can read plenty here: http://RosaDeLauroExposed.wordpress.com/
