Campaign Notebook: Murphy Says System is 'Broken'

Senate

Linda McMahon (R): A large sign near exit 29 on Interstate 95 readers "Linda: She's Out Shopping Again." The candidate didn't respond to the jab, reports the Stamford Advocate.

Chris Murphy (D): The congressman came to New Britain with a Republican colleague to talk about bipartisanship and dysfunction in Washington, DC. Murphy said, according to the Associated Press, that "the system is fundamentally broken."

3rd District

Rosa DeLauro (D): The congresswoman is fond of criticizing proposals by Republicans and praising fellow Democrats via Twitter, but she recently had some faint praise for the GOP.

Pleased GOP came to the table and we worked out agreement to stop doubling of the student loan interest rate #DontDoubleMyRate

Wayne Winsley (R): The Republican candidate issued a statement in response to the Supreme Court's Obamacare decision. The headline reads, "Government Can Tax Your Behavior."
