5th Mayor's Annual Charity Golf Tournament Set

The Mayor’s 5th Annual Charity Golf Tournament is scheduled to be held on Monday, Aug. 29 at the Mill River Country Club.

Major corporations and local businesses combined with over 100 golfers participated in last year’s event that raised more than $30,000 dollars for charitable organizations in Stratford.

Among those recipients were the Stratford YMCA, Sterling House, Disability Resource Center, Stratford VNA, Emerge, Perry House, South End Community Center, Stratford Community Fund, Stratford SEPTA, Stratford Public Schools Mentoring Program and the CT Air and Space Center.

“We are so lucky to have such generous businesses and individuals here in Stratford. The Charity Golf Tournament is a great way to help give back to these very deserving organizations,” said Mayor Harkins.

Mayor Harkins will serve as the Honorary Chairman of the event, assisted by Co-Chairs Agnes Stegner, Attorney Barry Knott, and David Evans.
