The following arrest information was provided by the Norwalk Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

Norwalk Police arrested two Stratford men for drug possession on Thursday, one of whom had an outstanding warrant on them.

According to the police report, officers on patrol on Monroe Street saw Robert Vega, 19, of 780 White Street in Stratford,  whom they had recognized. After seeing him get into a friend's vehicle, the police officers pulled it over. As officers approached the passenger's side of the vehicle, they observed Vega trying to get out and ordered him to stay in the car. The officers noticed Vega had his hands in his pockets and requested that he keep them in plain view.

Police officers confirmed that Vega had an outstanding warrant out on him for an alleged domestic dispute on Dec. 4. at his mother's home on Mulvoy Street. When officers were handcuffing Vega, they observed a strong odor of marijuana. They called for the K-9 unit and the German Sheppard, Ranier, allegedly led officers to four bags of a green, leafy substance in the car which tested positive for marijuana. Officers had the vehicle towed.
