Teens Face Disorderly Conduct Charges

Stratford police arrested four teenagers from Bridgeport this week after their alleged unruly behavior caused their bus driver to take them to the police station.

Police reports did not say why the teens were on the bus owned by WE Transportation LLC when the incident occurred on the afternoon of Sept. 7. Police also did not name them because they are all under age 18.

The bus was transporting the teenagers southbound on the Wilbur Cross Parkway at the route 34 exit when they reportedly began throwing balls of paper at each other. Police reports said they stopped for a few minutes when the bus driver and an aide ordered them to, but then started again as the bus approached the Sikorsky Bridge.

The driver reportedly pulled off the highway and headed south on Main Street, stopping to ask a police patrol officer for directions to the police station.
