Suspect Sought in Stratford Bank Robbery

Stratford police are looking for a white male who they said claimed to have a bomb during a robbery Monday at a People's Bank branch in Stratford. (Scroll down for full story.)

Stratford police are searching for a man who they said robbed the People's Bank at the Stop & Shop on East Main Street Monday and fled before officers arrived.

Police said the suspect claimed to have a bomb during the robbery, in which he was able to obtain about $50. No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 30s to early 40s, about 6 feet tall and 250 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark color baseball cap and a hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, jeans and work boots, police said.
