Stratford Police Upping Patrols for Labor Day Weekend

And a sobriety checkpoint is scheduled for Friday.

The Stratford Police Department says it will increase patrols and conduct roadside sobriety checkpoints this Labor Day Weekend as part of the 2013 Comprehensive DUI Enforcement program.

The goal is to “reduce the number of impaired driving injuries and fatalities through increased high-visibility DUI enforcement,” the department said in a statement.

The sobriety checkpoint is scheduled for Friday. Patrols will be upped throughout the weekend.
