Stratford Police Charge Garage Owner with Cruelty to Animals

Severely dehydrated dog found at Maxi's Automotive.

The owner of Maxi's Auto body on Honeyspot Road in Stratford is accused of animal cruelty after police found two dogs to be in poor condition on the property.

Trevor Maximin, 50, was arrested on charges of cruelty to animals, illegal tethering, failure to license dogs and failure to vaccinate dogs for rabies.

According to the Connecticut Post, police found one dog tethered to a car lying on hot pavement that was later to be found suffering from severe dehydration and an infection. Another dog was tethered to a fence without access to water.
