Stratford - Police Blotter

Enforcement actions taken from April 19 to 22.

On April 19, police responded to North Acre Place on a report of harassing communications. When police were on the front porch, a male resident walked by the responding officer, brushing against the officer’s shoulder. The officer reported that he could hear the person, later identified as Victor Rosa, 20, of North Acre Place speak under his breath, “F%$@ this place,” and continue past the officer. The officer entered the house and spoke to the complainant about the harassing phone calls being received at the residence when another house member told the officer that Rosa had allegedly just thrown two rocks at the officer’s patrol car. Police confronted Rosa, who said yes he had thrown the rocks and then allegedly said, “do what you have to do, arrest me. I don’t care.” At that, police handcuffed Rosa, who said he was mad at his housemates, which prompted his outburst. The officer said the patrol car did not sustain much damage. Rosa was charged with criminal and was held in $500 bond pending an April 27 court date.

On April 20, police were in the area of Lordship Boulevard checking registrations when one plate came back cancelled. The vehicle was stopped and the driver, Terrell Taylor, 30, of Ketcham Road was charged with no registration and no emissions and was released on a promise to appear in court on April 29.

On April 20, police were in the area of Broadbridge Avenue near Kenyon Street when a white van’s registration came back suspended due to no insurance. The operator, Michael Kennedy, 49, of King Street, told police that the car was in his wife’s name, as was the insurance. He provided police with an insurance card that was expired. He was charged with operating with a suspended registration and failure to carry a valid insurance card. He was released on a promise to appear in court on May 3.
