Stratford Man Charged in 'Pump and Run'

A Stratford man allegedly stole $87 worth of gas from a station in Fairfield, police said.

A Stratford man was charged with larceny last week for allegedly pumping gas without paying.

The theft occurred in April, but police charged Benson Ajissefinni of Larkin Court on Thursday following an investigation.

According to the report, Ajissefinni pumped $87 worth of gas into his car at the at 1096 Post Road and left without paying.

He was released on a promise to appear in court on July 9.
