Stratford Man Charged for Duffle Bag of Guns, Bulletproof Vests

Local faces weapons charges.

A Stratford man was arrested Monday after police said detectives linked him to a duffle bag containing two loaded firearms and two bulletproof vests that was found in the area of Taft Street on July 6.

Robert Robertson, 22, was charged with possession of an assault weapon and criminal possession of a firearm. He was held in lieu of $250,000 bond.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
