Joseph Cantanese, 53, of Huntington Road in Stratford, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive right after a motor vehicle stop on Route 58 on Saturday, Nov. 24 at 9:17 p.m.
According to Easton police, the department received a call concerning a "car in the roadway." While speaking with the driver, police said they detected alcohol on Cantanese's breath. He subsequently failed field sobriety tests and was taken in to custody, police said.
Cantanese was released on $20 bond and given a Dec. 4 court date.
