Stratford Krauszers Robbed at Gunpoint

Police are still looking for the suspect in last night's robbery.

An unidentified white male made off with an unknown amount of cash Tuesday night after robbing Krauszers on Westchester Drive at gunpoint, police said.

Stratford police Lt. Frank Eannotti said the armed robbery happened at about 8 p.m. at the convenience store located at 20 Westchester Drive.

The suspect -- described as a white male, approximately 5-foot-2 with a medium build -- entered the store, brandished a handgun and demanded money from the clerk, Eannotti said.

The clerk complied, handing the suspect an undetermined amount of money before he fled the area on foot, Eannotti said, adding that officers with a K-9 unit attempted to locate the suspect, last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, but were not successful.
