"Dad, do you have any friends in the New Haven PD? I'm in a bit of a jam"

Hey Jason, You (and everyone else) should probably stop getting your news from the CT Post (which, if they even choose to post anything about Stratford is usually several days too late), and start monitoring http://stratfordcharter.wordpress.com/ ... the blog's "moderator" posted this story a week+ ago!!!

AGREED!!!! Conduct unbecoming an officer perhaps???

Sounds like LoSchiavo has some anger issues. I wouldn't want this man to be an officer in my town.

I thought policemen obeyed the law

Since the 70's there have been police officers in my family. They treated the profession with respect and became well known in the communities of Greenwich and Stamford. If you don't respect the profession you don't deserve to be a part of it. In corporate America he would have been fired immediately upon his first screw up. The public sector needs to begin embracing this attitude more often to save itself from incidents like this. Second and third chances always end badly. Accountability is key. Lets move on.

Not a good way for a police officer to act. He never should have been reinstated from his first incident. But that's politics

Agreed Ed, it's about time that some respect is brought back to the badge, and this sort of behavior is not helping. You're right about what you say, back in the day everyone knew and (most) liked and respect the local cops who patrolled their neighborhoods.

Hery Mayor Harkins, What about that cop Joe McNeil who was arrested and lied under oath to the state. Did you not make him your Deputy Chief after he gave you the contract you wanted while he was a Union Official? That seems much darker than Little Joe,s temper issue. Maybe his attitude is bad because he see's the real picture at Harkins PD.

Mayor Harkins has set the bar to a very low level by appointing an admitted liar and convict to the the position of Deputy Chief. The day respect is back at the PD is when The Mayor and his pocket supervisors leave.

I just looked at some images from the latest rover to be placed on Mars. The place looks great. Obviously, you would have to bring some supplies. Compared to Stratford, it would be a move up. There's nothing new to the trick of giving a little to get a lot from uinon bosses-- happens all the time. The left is the right and the right the left. The top is the bottom and the bottom the top. Why play on one side of the board when you can manipulate the moves on both.

Dont forget how stressful a municipal job can be!! Im a firefighter in New Haven and you liberals wouldnt believe what we deal with on a daily basis. If you think that our job protecting the public, youre surely mistaken!! Our job is very demanding and we always try to do our best. Big deal, a police officer thats been put on leave messed up!!!! The job of a police officer and as a firefighter has ALWAYS BEEN a union job before anything else!!! People forget that, thats where the union is supposed to back you up!!! He messed up, he's human!!!
