The Shelton Police Department reports that a 49-year-old man died while shoveling his driveway early Saturday morning.

"During the height of the storm he was out shoveling and he collapsed," Police Chief Joel Hurliman said. "Getting him to an ambulance was very difficult and EMS had to use a snow mobile and I'm told possibly a sled."

He said the man, whose identity is not being released as not all family members have been notified, probably had a heart attack "but we don't have the confirmation on that."

Hurliman would say the man lived in the Huntington section of Shelton. The Valley Indy reports his home was on Darrin Drive.
