Resident Fires Rifle Through Neighbor's Floor

The incident at 510 East Main Street Wednesday was deemed an accident, police said.

An East Main Street resident Wednesday accidentally fired off his rifle at his apartment, causing a bullet to go through his neighbor's floor, police said.

Brian Glodgett, 31, told police he was loading a rifle in his home when it accidentally discharged, according to police.

Glodgett reportedly directed officers to his bedroom to where the rifle was located, and the weapon was taken in as evidence.

Police transported Glodgett to Stratford police headquarters where he was held on $500 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 25.
