The Stratford Police Department (SPD) assisted West Haven police in a raid on a Stratford home Wednesday that resulted in the seizure of suspected crack cocaine, drug packaging material and a firearm, according to a release from the SPD.

West Haven detectives obtained a search warrant for 330 Masarik Ave. as part of an investigation for a West Haven shooting that occurred earlier this week, the release said.

The Stratford Police Special Response Team entered the home, and reportedly became aware that an illegal narcotics operation was occurring within the home. The Stratford Police Narcotics, Vice and Intelligence Unit followed with an investigation and a second search warrant was obtained, the release said.

During the search, officers said they seized a quantity of suspected crack cocaine, drug packaging material and a firearm.

After the search warrant was executed, the following occupants of the Masarik home were arrested and charged with the following:

Daniel Marshall, 25, of 330 Masarik Ave., was charged with possession of crack cocaine; possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell; possession of drug paraphernalia in a drug factory; and criminal possession of a firearm.

Jason Marshall, 24, of 330 Masarik Ave., and Dumar Marshall, 21, of 330 Masarik Ave., were both charged with possession of crack cocaine; possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell; and possession of drug paraphernalia in a drug factory.

Each person is being held on bond pending a Oct. 12 court date at Bridgeport Superior Court.

The investigation is ongoing.
