Stratford police last week ticketed a Bridgeport man for allegedly screaming "wooooo" while traveling as a passenger down Main Street.
Police said 18-year-old Deshawn Fields started "screaming wooooo at the top of his lungs" at the intersection of Main Street and Barnum Avenue.
An officer on patrol in an unmarked police vehicle reportedly followed the car to Stratford Center, where police said Fields lunged out the car window and shouted the same cry at restaurant patrons.
"Several people were disturbed over his disturbing behavior," according to the police report.
Fields then proceeded to scream at a bicyclist, "startling him and causing him to almost lose control," police said.
The officer following Fields turned on his emergency lights and asked the Bridgeport man to exit the vehicle, according to the report.
Asked why he was screaming out the car window, Fields reportedly told police he "was just being stupid for no reason."
He was ticketed for creating a public disturbance.
