BB Gun Damages Cars, Windows at Stratford Business [Updated]

What was originally reported as a shooting, has been deemed an act of vandalism.

Stratford police investigating a reported shooting at a local business determined the weapon used by the perpetrator was a BB gun.

Shots fired at Maxi's Automotive caused damage to two cars and four windows, said Deputy Chief Joe McNeil.

"We have a lead on who it might be," said McNeil.

Stratford police are on the scene of what is being reported as a shooting at a local business on Honeyspot Road.

According to information transmitted over the police scanner, an unidentified person shot a gun at the building and fled. Police said the location is Maxi's Automotive, at 740 Honeyspot Road.

Deputy Chief Joe McNeil confirmed that officers responded to a report of shots fired. "We're just trying to sort out what happened," he said.
