Stratford Police K-9 Helps Land Double Burglary Arrest

Two men arrested for break-in at Pearl Place.

A Stratford man and a Bridgeport man were arrested Monday afternoon for a burglary at Pearl Place that same day, The Stratford Star reports.

Police responded to reports of a burglary in progress at a home on Pearl Place around 3:30 p.m. Monday, police told the paper. By the time police got to the scene, the burglars had walked towards Ruby Lane.

A resident on Timber Ridge Road then called the police to report two strange men in her yard. With the help of K-9 Kahn, Officer Tom Clements located the two suspects in the wooden area near Timber Ridge Road. They also found items stolen from the Pearl Place home nearby.

Jesus Roman, 23, of Stratford and Angel Arbelo, 23, of Bridgeport were charged with burglary, criminal trespass and interfering with an officer, according to The Stratford Star. Both were held on a $10,000 bond.
