Milford Teens Charged in Attempted Car Theft

Arrest information is supplied by the Stratford Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A duo of Milford teens were charged early Monday for their alleged involvement in an attempted car theft on Laughlin Road West.

Justin Parsell, 19, and John Dibella, 18, were both charged with breach of peace and simple trespass after police said they found the teens hiding in a bush near where the attempted car theft was reported at about 2 a.m. Monday, March 26.

At headquarters, police said Parsell told them he and Dibella were in Stratford to attend a party, but the person who dropped them off bailed on them after it ended.

The Milford teens started to walk around in the area of East Main Street and Frog Pond Road before they became separated, Parsell reportedly told police. After about 20 minutes passed, Parsell heard car alarms going off and then found Dibella near a car with a neighbor yelling at him, police said Parsell told them.

The pair then ran off and was soon after found in a bush nearby, police said.

Police said Parsell was currently on probation and had numerous burglaries and larcenies on this criminal record.

During booking, police said Dibella was uncooperative, refused to give officers information and appeared under the influence of either drugs or alcohol.

Both teens were held on $500 bond and are due in court April 4.
