Police said June Harris, 65, of 34 Stonybrook Road, confronted the electric company workers and began screaming obscenities at them. A Stratford police officer who was working a private duty traffic control assignment ordered her to move back, because pieces of insulators and other equipment were falling around her, but Harris refused, according to the police report.

Instead of moving, police said Harris struck the officer and lunged at him, forcing him to grapple her to the ground. Additional officers were summoned and helped subdue her. During the incident, she and the officer both received minor injuries. The police report said Harris was in "a fit of absolute rage and hysteria."

Causing a Disturbance at Mickey D's

Stratford police arrested a Stamford man over the weekend after he allegedly caused a disturbance in the McDonald’s at 411 Barnum Avenue Cut-Off.

An officer responded to the restaurant at 4:49 p.m. on July 16, where employees said Brandon Bodrick, 21, of 13 Ivy St., Stamford, had become abusive and said if he had a gun he would return and shoot everyone in the restaurant. There was no evidence that Bodrick actually has a gun, the report said.

The incident allegedly started when Bodrick offered to sell perfume to some young women at the restaurant. He said the woman responded rudely and photographed his car’s license plate with a phone camera, the report said. He tried to complain to the restaurant manager, but the manager wasn’t there at the time, which reportedly made him irate.

Police said they advised Bodrick he could not solicit sales in Stratford without a peddler’s license. He was charged with threatening in the second degree and breach of peace in the second degree and released on $100 bond for a court appearance on July 27.
