Stratford firefighters responding to a rollover on Broadbridge Ave Monday had to extricate one patient from their vehicle.
According to a post on the Stratford Fire Department's Facebook page, the motor vehicle accident was called in at about 8:10 p.m.
The accident happened in the area of the old Dictaphone building and the patient was extricated from the vehicle in about nine minutes, according to the post.
The patient was transported to the hospital.
The injuries sustained are not considered life-threatening, according to posts by the victim's family left on the fire department's Facebook page.
This message was posted at about 11:30 p.m. Monday: "We are still at the hospital...no broken bones that we know of, rib area is sore but I'll thank the seatbelt for that one and for his life."
The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
