Public Safety affects everyone in the community no matter what your age, income or location is. Due to the wide range of individuals affected, it is important for elected officials to keep Public Safety as a top priority.

While in office Mr. Dempsey has repeatedly shown his dedication to supporting Public Safety in our community and we believe he will continue to do so when reelected to office in 2011. Mr. Dempsey has stood up for causes he truly believes in, regardless of party lines, throughout his term as a Councilman.

Mr. Dempsey is also the only current Town Council member that participated in our annual Fire Ops 101 event in 2010, proving that he will do what is needed to educate himself on matters to ensure he makes informed and educated decisions.

For these reasons, the Stratford Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 998 proudly endorses Mr. John M. Dempsey for Fifth District Councilman, and urges you to cast your vote for him on November 8, 2011.

Stratford Patch will start to publish profiles later this week of those running for Town Council in the November election.
