Stratford firefighters Monday put out a brush fire in the marsh off of Lordship Boulevard near its intersection with Oak Bluff Avenue.
The call came in around 1 p.m., according to radio transmissions, and there were no visible flames by about 1:30 p.m.
According to a post on the Stratford Fire Department's Facebook page, five separate areas of the marsh were involved, equalling an area slightly larger than an acre.
At 1:40 p.m., officials on scene said traffic would re-open to motorists on Lordship Boulevard before 2 p.m.
