A Stratford homeowner has been displaced by a fire that broke out tonight in a Huntington Road residence.

Neighbors say flames were showing from the front window of the three-story house when firefighters arrived around 6 p.m. The occupant was able to get out of the house, said a neighbor, Laura Towne, who was among a handful of people gathered on the sidewalk as extinguished the fire.

A portion of Huntington Road was closed while emergency crews were on scene. Assistant Fire Chief Murray was incident commander. He was unable to provide information as to the cause of the fire and any other details.
