Ex-Trumbull Tax Collector Arrested for Pot, Ecstasy in Stratford

Stratford police nabbed him recently for drug possession, according to the Connecticut Post.

Jermaine Campbell, a former Trumbull Tax collector, has been accused of drug possession, according to the Connecticut Post.

Campbell is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of Ecstasy with intent to sell, possession of marijuana and possession of Ecstasy, the newspaper reports.

The Post reports that the 21-year-old Bridgeport resident was seen with a group of youths in Clove Park in Stratford sharing what looked like a marijuana cigarette.

Police dogs led officers to Campbell's car where they allegedly found five plastic bags containing marijuana and two bags of Ecstasy capsules. Police said Campbell admitted the drugs were his, according to the Post.

He is free on $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court July 27.
