Cops: Stratford Man Stole Rx Pad from Doc, Forged Prescriptions

The suspect was charged with sixth-degree larceny in late August.

A Stratford man has been charged with the theft of a prescription pad from a Westport doctor's office, police said.

Anthony Ramirez, 30, of Mary Avenue, was charged with sixth-degree larceny after he was detained by Stratford police in late August in an unrelated incident. Police say Ramirez stole the prescription pad and used it to write forged prescriptions in a number of towns.

Ramirez was held in lieu of a of a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on Sept. 9.
