Cops: Man Found with 47 Baggies of Cocaine at Stratford Motel

Weekend surveillance at a Stratford motel nets two Bridgeport men.

Stratford police conducting surveillance Friday at the arrested two Bridgeport men on narcotics charges.

Both arrests stemmed from motor vehicle stops. The motel is located at 2200 Stratford Ave.

"The arrests are the results of complaints that have been made concerning narcotics sales and prostitution at local hotels within the town," said police spokesman Frank Eannotti.

The first arrest nabbed 41-year-old John Schuler, who police said was found in possession of 47 baggies containing cocaine and $1125 in cash.

Schuler was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of cocaine. He was held on $25,000 bond.

The second Bridgeport man arrested was 26-year-old Javon Williams, who police said was found in possession of two bags of cocaine as well as a scale and packaging materials.

Williams was charged with possession of a narcotics substance with intent to sell, possession of cocaine, using a cell phone while driving and operating under suspension. He was held on $10,000 bond.
