Cops: Man Flashed Gun, Fled w/ $500 in Gas Station Robbery

The suspect is still at large.

In the second gas station robbery in Stratford in less than 48 hours, a man flashed a handgun at the BP Gas Station at 265 Boston Ave. and fled on foot Sunday night with about $500 in cash, police said.

Early Saturday morning another man robbed the Gulf Gas Station on Honeyspot Road, police said. As of Monday afternoon, that man was still at large.

The BP Gas Station robbery happened at about 8:08 p.m. Sunday, police said.

The suspect is described by police as a black male about 6'3" tall, last seen wearing faded jeans, black and white sneakers and a black military'style coat.

He entered the business wearing a mask that covered the lower portion of his face, police said.

Police did not provide a photo of the suspect.
