Cops: Duo Charged for Stratford Mail Thefts

Pair may be linked to other mail thefts in the state, police say.

On Dec. 30, Stratford officers arrested Kenyata Williams, 32, and Andre Salmon, 31, for larceny and trespass charges after a detective saw them stealing mail from residential mail boxes on East Broadway.

Found in their possession was mail from several homes located in the area. Postal inspectors were notified and responded as the pair may be linked to other mail thefts in the state.

Williams was charged with five counts of sixth-degree larceny, five counts of criminal trespass and interfering with an officer. He was also found to be on probation and he had an outstanding warrant for armed robbery in the state of Florida.

Salmon was charged with conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny. He was also on probation and was subsequently charged with violation of probation and remanded to custody by probation officers.
