Break-ins Reported at Stratford's Boardwalk Marina

Nine boats were reportedly entered by suspected thieves.

The owner of a Ferry Boulevard marina is hopeful that surveillance cameras will help police find the suspects who reportedly broke into nine boats in the pen behind the Dock Shopping Center, the Connecticut Post reports.

Scott Mitchell told the Post two of the boats had belongings stolen, which included two GPS devices, a depth finder and other electionics.

Mitchell said the break-ins occurred either Friday night or early Monday morning, the Post reported. Four years ago, video surveillance helped lead to the apprehension of suspected thieves at his Housatonic River marina, Mitchell added.
