Body Pulled from Housatonic ID'd as Missing Milford Kayaker

Jet Krumwiede went missing in Long Island Sound on Oct. 28.

The body found at the mouth of the Housatonic River in Stratford Monday has been identified as the missing Milford kayaker who disappeared in Long Island Sound the Sunday before Hurricane Sandy.

The Connecticut Post reports that the body has been identified as 21-year-old Jet Krumwiede of Morrell Ave.

Krumwiede had been missing since Oct. 28 when his kayak capsized near Charles Island in Milford, officials said. He was kayaking with another 21-year-old male, who Milford fire officials were able to locate and rescue before Sandy hit the coastline on Monday.
