Armed Robbery Reported at Stratford Stop & Shop

Two suspects are reported to have fled the East Main Street area after robbing the grocery store. Another unrelated armed robbery was reported to happen this afternoon at a local BP Gas Station.

Two suspects are reported to be at large after an armed robbery at the Stop & Shop on East Main Street in Stratford Monday afternoon.

According to a information transmitted over police scanners, the armed robbery happened around 12 p.m. and the suspects, described as two black males, fled in a tan vehicle registered to Shelton.

It's unclear what weapon was used and the amount taken.

About a half hour after the Stop & Shop robbery was reported to have happened, there were reports of an unrelated armed robbery at the BP Gas Station at 265 Boston Ave.

According to radio transmissions reported by doingitlocal.com, "the robber wore a black mask, black hoodie, jeans and fled in a green Impala towards Barnum Ave.. Clerk says it is the same guy who robbed them last week."
