Armed Robbery Attempt at Stratford Shell Station

The suspect who was taken into custody by Stratford police said there was another man involved in the armed robbery.

The suspect of an armed robbery at a Lordship Boulevard gas station Wednesday night was quickly taken into custody, the Connecticut Post reports.

However, that suspect, whose identity has not been released, told police there was another man involved in the 10:20 p.m. robbery at the , according to radio transmissions heard by the Post.

But a search of the area did not find any more suspects, the Post reported.

The suspect taken into custody took "an unknown amount of cash" from the station's register then allegedly tried to take the car of a woman pumping gas, according to the Post.
