Elizabeth Joy O’Connell, age 32, beloved wife of Kevin John O’Connell of Stratford, entered into peaceful rest on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Sept. 6, 1981 in Raleigh, NC and was the daughter of John Paul and Margaret Anne (Wood) Lollis of Rock Hill, SC. Joy was a Registered Nurse at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport until her illness. Joy’s greatest love was for Jesus along with her husband and children.
In addition to her parents and husband, Joy leaves her two children, Jackson Ryan and Noah Patrick O’Connell, three brothers, William Paul Lollis of Greenville, SC, Jonathan Alexander and Matthew Forrest Lollis both of Rock Hill, SC, several nieces and nephews, and her mother in law, Patricia L. Pjura and her husband, Michael of Oxford and father in law, Kevin John O’Connell, Sr. and Chris-Ann Elizabeth O’Connell of Stratford, her brother in law, Zachary Thomas O’Connell of Shelton and sister in laws, Kristy Champagne Riese of Tega Cay, SC and Nicole Marie Bartos of York, SC.

She was predeceased by her sister, Sarah Anne Lollis and brother in law, Ryan Patrick O’Connell.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, Apr. 3 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour.

A Celebration of Joy’s life will be held on Friday, Apr. 4 at 10:30 a.m.(DIRECTLY) at the Seymour Congregational Church, 15 Broad Street, Seymour with Pastor David Barker from River Valley Baptist Church officiating.
Interment to follow in Southford Cemetery, Oxford. Memorial contributions may be made to Swim Across the Sound, 2800 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT 06606www.swimacrossthesound.org.
