Obituary: Winnie Canapetti Sienne, age 68

Friends and family may call on Tuesday, September 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home.

Winnie Canapetti Sienne, age 68, of Milford and formerly a longtime resident of Stratford, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Gardner Heights in Shelton. 

She was born on September 22, 1943 in Saigon. She took great pride in becoming an American citizen. Prior to her retirement, Winnie worked for the former Bayer Co. of West Haven. 

She was a member with the Afternoon Delight league of Milford Fair Lanes and enjoyed music and baseball. 

Winnie was a talented cook and loved listening to her sons play in their rock band and her daughter sing in her chorus. A loving, kind and generous mother and grandmother, her favorite pastime was enjoying the company of her cherished grandchildren. 

She is survived by her four children, Donna Canapetti Robinson of Milford, Larry Canapetti and his wife Jeannine of Stratford, James Canapetti and Lucy Yepes of Naugatuck and Lee Canapetti Jr. and Shelley Macaluso of Stratford, seven grandchildren, Ashley, Anthony, Stephen, Matthew and Lacey Canapetti and Anthony and Derek Yepes. Winnie was predeceased by her son-in-law, Maury Robinson. 

Friends and family may call on Tuesday, September 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460, followed by a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. 

Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT. 06405.
