William "Al" A. Gauthier age 86 of Stratford the beloved husband of the late Anna Mae McKinley Gauthier passed away peacefully on Saturday July 13, 2013 in the Connecticut Hospice Branford.
Al was born on April 29, 1927 in Portland, Maine and was the son of the late William and Rose Trepanier Gauthier.
He was a United States Army Korean War veteran and employed with the Bic Corporation, Harvey Hubbell and Bridgeport Awning and Shade Companies for several years.
He enjoyed traveling to the casinos, gardening and selling newspapers at Bridgeport Hospital where he loved chatting with everyone he met. Al was a kind, generous and giving person.
He is survived by his devoted son, James Gauthier and daughter-in-law Joanne of East, Haven and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his son Alan.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 17, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main St., Stratford. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery of Easton.
