Obituary: Robert Parker Jr., 60
Mr. Parker was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and served during the Vietnam War.
Robert E. Parker Jr., age 60, of Stratford, the beloved husband of Sharon Polaski Parker, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013 in Bridgeport Hospital.
Born in Beverly, Mass. to Mary Tarr Parker and the late Robert E. Parker Sr, Bob has been a longtime Stratford resident.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 200 and the Tennessee Squires.
In addition to his wife Sharon and his mother Mary Parker of Haverhill, Mass., Bob is survived by a son Raymond Bursey Jr. and his wife Amy of Stratford, two granddaughters, Brianna and Emily Bursey, a brother Ozzie Hardy of Haverhill, Mass., two sisters, Mary Flood of Stratford and Penny Bourque of Marinette, Wis. and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
