Obituary: Robert 'Bob' Grodis, Former Stratford RTC Member, 83

Bob was a dedicated member of the Stratford Knights of Columbus and the Republican Town Committee in Stratford.

Robert Stanley Grodis, age 83, resident of Waterbury, beloved husband to Faith Rowe Grodis, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury.

Born in Pittston, Pa. on June 5, 1929, he was the son of the late Stanley and Mary Dudavich Grodis.

Bob was employed with the Department of the Defense at Sikorsky as a Navy Quality Control inspector. He was a dedicated member of the Stratford Knights of Columbus and the Republican Town Committee in Stratford. An avid fisherman and devoted sportsman, Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, Faith, he is survived by four daughters, Suzanne Grodis Bozar of Naugatuck, Mary Grodis Leonard of Waterbury, Catherine Grodis of Bristol and Bobbi L. Pina of Bridgeport and his step-son Steven Conley; eight grandchildren, Ronnie, Damon, Kurt, Shannon, Brittany, Janessa, Peter, Jr., and Elijah and six great grandchildren, Damon, Jr., Destiny, Alex, Gabriella, Joshua, Ji’Yanna and his beloved dog, Pookie and other loving family members. He was predeceased by his first wife, Patricia Ann Murphy Grodis.
